Southern Vietnamese With A French Influence

The best part of our job is getting to know our customers, restaurants, cafes, beauticians, mechanics and so on. We learn more and more about their business’ every time we chat to them on the phone or see them in store. I had the pleasure of having a chat to owner of Cochin, Jason recently, and was interested to find out more about his new restaurant.

Jason’s new restaurant Cochin, formally known as Grandma Funks is inspired by the Southern Vietnamese region of Cochin which was that was settled by the French Colonists. This influence makes for a delicious Vietnamese cuisine with a French twist.  Jason has been in the hospitality game since he was just 8 years old and although sometimes he thinks he might be insane he loves the human contact, food and wine. Situated in Richmond Cochin has moody sultry lighting, dark timbers and flavoursome, healthy food and a all round great atmosphere.

If you are ever in Richmond, be sure to pop in and see Jason and the team at Cochin, make sure you try the The Chateaubriand (Jason supplied the recipe for it, so its a personal fave!) So what does Cochin have to offer, Where do I start…? After a major face lift Cochin have created a smashing wine bar with a delicious dining experience that is not to be missed.

Restaurants App Revolution

Most people have a whole drawer full of crinkled, outdated restaurant menus in there house somewhere. Ordering over the phone becomes a tricky task when you don’t have the correct prices, products or even restaurant number! Thankfully technology is here to yet again make our lives that little bit easier.

Recent studies have shown that when it comes to ordering take away from their local
restaurants, customers are much more likely to order from those with online apps, as they have easy access to the menu, prices and can check out at the touch of a button. zr_blogpostBy offering App ordering you can boost your sales and save time on answering take away calls. It is a win win.

Having an App makes it easier to update your menu, post about specials, offer promotions, loyalty rewards and much more. It will also reduce customer complaints as you can include meal descriptions and images. There are many Apps that you can register your restaurant with for online ordering, such as Menu Log, Delivery Hero, Eat Now and many more. Or you can start from scratch and create your own App.

So what are you waiting for, join the Restaurant App revolution!!

Melbournians, this ones for you! Mr. Miyagi is a popular Japanese restaurant located on Chapel Street, Windsor. It seems Mr. Miyagi is branching out, he has a mistress. But this isn’t any Bachelor kind of stuff, it’s a little less dramatic and a little more interesting. The owners of Mr. Miyagi Kristian and Andy are opening a bar in the connecting warehouse space. With no name just yet, it is currently known as Mr. Miyagi’s mistress.

The fit out of Mr. Miyagi’s Mistress is set to be more feminine with curvy timber being a main feature. With the idea that people on the wait list for  Mr. Miyagi’s can have a place tmiyagio go and have a good time while they wait. The bar will serve delicious Japanese street food style snacks as a teaser for the mains to come. But it’s not only good food they will be serving, with cocktails to be their specialty you will be sure to have a good time! Mr. Miyagi’s mistress is set to open doors in November so make sure you check it out.  http://www.mrmiyagi.com.au/
